Preparing for a podiatrist appointment isn’t difficult. There are several things you can do to make sure your appointment goes quickly and smoothly, and your questions get answered. You’ll need an ID and your insurance cards at check-in, so be sure to bring them with you. Write down any foot pain symptoms you have, as well as questions you want to ask. Wear or bring the daily and athletic shoes you use most often. If you have custom orthotics, bring those as well. Don’t get a pedicure or have your nails done ahead of time.

Form.

If it’s your first visit to a podiatrist, most practices—including Mitchell Wachtel, DPM—have their new patient forms available for you online. That way you can download them, fill them out, and bring them with you to your appointment to speed up the check-in process. It’s a good idea to bring an updated list of any medications you take and your family medical history as well. If you’re not sure your insurance is accepted, call beforehand to ask.

Our team with Mitchell Wachtel, podiatrist North Andover, wants your appointment to be as successful as possible. If you know you need an appointment with a podiatrist, or want to ask more questions, call (978) 794-8406 or fill out or online contact form.
